1. Our Values

dip is about discovery, expression, and connection on campus. We value authenticity, kindness, and spontaneity — and we want dip to feel like a safe place where students can be themselves.

These Community Standards are here to protect you and your friends. They are part of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (together the “User Agreement”). If you don’t agree with them, dip might not be for you.

Think of it this way: if you wouldn’t want someone doing it to you on dip, don’t do it to someone else.

2. What’s Not Allowed

  • Bullying, Abuse, and Harassment
No intimidation, harassment, or targeting of other users (or non-users).

  • Child Sexual Exploitation (Zero Tolerance)
Absolutely no content involving or promoting child sexual abuse or exploitation. This results in immediate ban and reporting to authorities.

  • Non-Consensual Nudity & Sexual Exploitation
Sharing intimate images of someone without their consent is strictly forbidden.

  • Hateful Content
No hate speech, slurs, or hateful symbols targeting individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or identity.

  • Illegal Activity & Dangerous Goods
No promotion or sale of drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods, or any illegal activity.

  • Terrorism & Organized Crime
Content that supports or promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or organized crime is banned.

  • Intellectual Property Violations
Don’t share copyrighted content or someone else’s work without permission.

  • Privacy Violations
Do not share other people’s private or personal information (addresses, phone numbers, IDs, screenshots of private chats) without consent.

  • Suicide, Self-Harm & Eating Disorders
No content that promotes or glorifies suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders.

  • Violence
No threats, glorification of violence, or incitement of harm.

  • Spam, Scams & Impersonation
Don’t spam, scam, impersonate others, or mislead the community.

  • Misinformation
Don’t spread knowingly false or misleading information that could cause harm.

3. Reporting & Enforcement

  • How to Report
You can report a user, post, or comment directly through in-app tools. If not possible, you can email support@dipapp.in with screenshots.

  • Anonymous & Safe
Reports stay anonymous. If someone is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services right away.

  • What Happens Next
Our moderation team reviews reports. Violations may result in content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent bans.
Zero-tolerance violations (child exploitation, non-consensual nudity, terrorism) result in immediate permanent bans and possible law-enforcement referral.

  • Appeals
If you feel an action was unfair, you can appeal within 7 days at support@dipapp.in. Our decision after appeal is final.

  • Monitoring
We reserve the right to monitor activity to enforce these Standards and keep dip safe.

4. Closing Note

Most of this should never affect you if you just use dip the way it’s meant to be used: a fun, safe, student-first space. Be authentic, be kind, and let college life feel like it’s supposed to.

Enjoy being yourself on dip.
