Data Deletion

At dip, you are always in control of your data.

How to Delete Your Account


You can delete your dip account directly from the app:

  1. Open the app → Settings → Your Account → Delete Account

  2. Confirm the deletion as prompted.

  3. Once confirmed, your account and associated data are scheduled for permanent deletion.


What Happens When You Delete Your Account

  • Immediate effect: Your profile, posts, confessions, and other user-facing data are removed from view immediately.

  • Within 30 days: Your account data (including your registered mobile number) is erased from our active systems.

  • Backups & logs: Limited backups and security/diagnostic logs may persist for up to 180 days (or longer if legally required).

  • Legal holds: If required by law, we may retain certain data to comply with obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.


Alternative Request


If you are unable to access the app, you can request deletion by emailing support@dipapp.in from your registered email with the subject line: Delete My Account.


Once your account is set for deletion, it cannot be restored.
